Mark is fascinated and passionate about learning how the human body is made, how we move, how we function and how we can repair ourselves.

Mark graduated from the University of NSW in 1991 with his Bachelor of Social Work, where his major focus was in psychology and human behaviour. A large component of Mark’s physiotherapy care, rehabilitation programs and hands on treatment has been drawn from his Psychology background, which assists in achieving long lasting results for his clients.

Having then studied Physiotherapy at Sydney University, graduating in 1994,  Mark works primarily with complex musculoskeletal injuries and conditions, along with elite and recreational athletes. Mark has been involved in all the football codes, state swimming and gymnastics, triathletes and Classical Ballet dancers.

Mark established his Physiotherapy Clinic in 1999 which is now a multi-disciplinary and multi-location practice. Mark is responsible for overseeing the management of his clients’ injury recovery and rehabilitation programs while assisting people to understand their role in their recovery and ongoing health and optimal performance.

Mark predominately treats in his areas of clinical interest and expertise which include:

  • Lumbar spine disc injuries and movement dysfunction of the spine
  • Rotator cuff tendon pathology of the shoulder
  • Headache
  • Traumatic sporting injuries
  • Sporting performance enhancement
  • Cancer recovery and optimal survivorship

As a major adjunct to his practice, Mark employs the use of Clinical Pilates, which allows the body to regain faster function of the injured muscles. This adjunct of treatment allows clients to reach their goals much quicker than other conventional means of therapy. His holistic approach to his work allows patients to focus on positive outcomes, learning about their physiology, and the necessary retraining of the muscles of their body.

Mark is happy, energetic and passionate about seeing people achieve their best. He loves learning, cooking, wine, gardening, fishing, trekking and music. Being focused on his business, practice and personal goals, Mark is planning on one day climbing a 7000+ metre mountain peak in Nepal, catching and releasing an 800+kg Black Marlin, learning how to fly a helicopter and play the harmonica (not all at the same time).
